Chairman: Tani Poe, Co-Chairman John Whitaker

The tournament started on Friday June 3rd with lines in the water at 5pm, and ended on Saturday June 4th with lines out of the water at 5pm.

The Fish the Wall and Small boat Tournament had 20 anglers and 8 boats. There were two boats over 25 feet and 6 boats qualifying for the Small Boat Tournament.  Friday evening at 5PM the boats starting fishing with most boats fishing the breakwater as the wind was up and made for some rough fishing all night.  Saturday the weather was much better in the morning and our boats were fishing from Palos Verde to Huntington beach. Plastics and live Squid were the preferred baits.

One SCTC member and his Guest braved the weather all night and stay on the wall with good results, Davis Aldana caught many fish and ending up winning the small boat tournament largest fish and largest bass with a 6.9 pound sand bass. Dick Ableser caught a 4.7 pound sand bass at Izors to win the large boat division.

For the 2nd year, we included a 5 largest bass per boat category for a prize and this year Davis Aldana and Alex McKeever with a total five fish weight of 19.1 lbs won. Captains drawing went to Don Herman with a cash prize to help refill up his boat with fuel. The Awards were presented the Burger Bash/Rib Feast on Sunday June 5th.
